The lodge’s ambience is warmly reminiscent of our origins as a colonial era coffee farm, beginning with the welcoming stone-built reception area and extending to cottage-style rooms neatly arranged among landscaped lawns and the colorful banks of Bougainvillea.
Each of the 42 meticulously crafted guest rooms has been inspired by our heritage and natural splendor, welcoming guests to experience the romance and simplicity of a 1920s lakeside retreat. Designed in the manner of a stone cottage, all accommodations are clustered around a village square adorned with beautifully tended lawns and extensive gardens. In warm hues of red and crisp shades of white, rooms feature classic country house design touches like tile floors, leaded windows and French doors giving way to garden and lake views.

- DAY 2: From Arusha - Tarangire National Park
Approximately 155kms takes approximately 3.5 hours’ drive
Our guide driver will pick you from the hotel after breakfast; proceed to the Tarangire National Park for game viewing drives. The park is famous for huge herds of Elephants, at times numbering up to 300. Giant Baobab trees dots the vast plains ad grasslands. The Tarangire National Park has varied landscapes. Wildlife that freely roams on the park includes hartebeests, leopard, lions, cape buffalo, Masai giraffes, the common zebra, lions, cheetah among many others. Later check-in at the Tarangire Balloon Camp, enjoy dinner and overnight.
TARANGIRE BALLOON CAMP
Tarangire Balloon Camp is a boutique property with 16 super luxury safari tents. It is located close to Boundary Hill with spectacular views of Tarangire National Park. The tents come with king sized four poster beds and large verandas from which to enjoy Tarangire’s famously spectacular sunsets.
- DAY 3: Tarangire National Park to Serengeti National Park
Approximately 300kms takes approximately 6 hours’ drive
Enjoy breakfast then we drive you via the Ngorongoro Conservation Area to the Serengeti National Park with a brief stop at the Oldupai museum. Enjoy en route game viewing drives to the Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge for check-in, dinner and overnight.
- DAY 4: Serengeti National Park
Enjoy breakfast then depart with packed lunch for a full day of game viewing drives. The vast Serengeti plains is home to hundreds of wildlife species including the elusive leopard, cheetah, spotted hyenas, Masai giraffes, cape buffalo, lions, the migratory wildebeests, hartebeests among many others. You can catch the wildebeest migration through-out the year in the Serengeti at different locations as they follow an almost predictable pattern and route on the migration circuit. Enjoy dinner ad overnight.
SERENGETI SERENA SAFARI LODGE
This is an award-winning gem of a hotel in one of the most beautiful settings in Tanzania. Seamlessly blended high into an acacia-lined ridge, the African-style lodge and infinity pool offer panoramic views across the Serengeti’s vast, endless grasslands, where lions and cheetahs stalk their prey and massive migrating wildebeest herds darken the landscape in a relentless search for fresh grazing grounds.

- DAY 5: Serengeti National Park- Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Approximately 170kms takes approximately 4 hours’ drive
Enjoy breakfast then depart with packed lunch. Morning game viewing drives towards South Serengeti. Exit the park through the Naabi gate ad proceed to Ngorongoro. Check-in at the Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge which is built on the crater rim, overlooking the crater below. Enjoy dinner and overnight
- DAY 6: Ngorongoro Crater Tour
Enjoy breakfast the depart withy packed lunch. Descend some 610 metres into the Ngorongoro Crater floor for game viewing drives. The 20km diameter crater floor has one of the highest wildlife per service area concentration. In the crater floor are Burchell’s zebras, leopard, cheetah, cape buffalo, water bucks, hartebeests, spotted hyenas, savannah elephant among others. There are no giraffes I the crater due to the short shrubs that pose a challenge to the giraffes feeding. We later drive up the crater floor, back to the Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge for dinner and overnight.
NGORONGORO SERENA SAFARI LODGE
Nestled high above the plains into the Crater’s jagged rim, cloaked in river stone and indigenous vines, Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge is barely visible to the naked eye. Framed by arched stone passages and timbered decks, its torch-lit walls are adorned with stylized cave paintings. At the stone heart of the lodge burns a glowing fire, which is kept constantly alight.
All the 75 rooms are looped around the Crater rim. Each has its own rock-enclosed balcony, and all enjoy completely uninterrupted views of the volcanic Amphitheatre far below.
